Question: What is the best way to plant a container garden
Answer: First, choose a pot that complements your decor or plant choice. We can help you decide between ceramic, plastic, wood, clay, etc. You must always use a good quality potting soil. Fill your pot about 3/4 full with the soil, then add a quality slow release fertilizer as well as a soil moistening agent to aid in watering. Fill the pot the rest of the way with soil. Remove your plants from their growing pot, loosen the roots and soil around the roots, then place the plants in the pot. Make sure to cover all of the roots, and then water your pot fully. Make sure to water under the foliage, right on top of the dirt, to limit any damage to sensitive leaves or flowers. Please contact us with any questions or for assistance.

Question: Is it difficult to plant and care for roses?
Answer: It is not difficult at all. Choose a rose that is appropriate for the space you have. There are many form which to choose - including grandifloras, floribundas, teas, shrubs, blanket, climbing, etc. Make sure the rose will receive enough sun throughout the day - at least 6 to 8 hours is best. When you plant your rose, we recommend the use of a systemic rose care product that will both feed the rose and control pests that your rose may be susceptible to. Once you have planted your rose, be sure to mulch around the base of the plant - and always water at the base rather than over the top of the rose.
